Ah, pocket wizards. There are some good chinese copies available at more than reasonable prices. I've been that interested I'm doing a DIY route - cordless doorbells.
Yep, they use the same low power PMR frquency as pocket wizards, you can sync. through the doorbell push and fire from the receiver, (doorbell), via it's decoder chip and a solid state opto triac isolator. Not as pretty, but I've got a couple kicking around doing nothing so having a go. (Plus they're encoded too!)
Flashes are expensive, but I even found some schematics to have a go at building them too, and at a fraction of the price!

I stand by what I said man!

The thing with the lime video is that I want a pocket wizard now. I heard though that in the scheme of things they are not horribly expensive. The flash however is!

Enjoy the vimeo!

Hiya Laddie,

'Pro photographers stream'? What are you like? I'm just an aspiring amateur the same as you guys! (Did make me blush, thanks for that.)
Not too shabby for a test shot and was great receiving feedback on it all.

Looked at Vimeo before as flickr doesn't allow videos until you're 'pro', may have to grab a closer look at that.

Loved the 'squeeze the lime' video, as you mention great ideas for portraiture. Enjoyed the rest of his site too, that guy knows what he's doing and it's all quite inspirning.

Brilliant Friday links Laddie and thanks again for the 'heads up'!
